There's a restroom, a pavilion, and many parking spots. There's also an entrance there or you can walk up the road to the old entrance. We've always walked up the road to the old entrance.

I recommend water shoes for this one since its pretty much water trekking. Also bug spray, a towel for after, maybe a change of clothes, and of course water bottle. Takes about an hour to get to the waterfall.

Dog friendly. We seen several there our first time so we took our boxer back our second time. When you come to the first fall theres one area the dogs will need help getting up most likely. We had my husband and my friends husband basically pass the dogs off to each other at this point.

This is considered the "old entrance".

Depending on how much rainfall there has been the trail could look like this (our second trip) or could be knee deep the whole way like our first trip. It's not recommended to go right after it has rained or on a day it may rain for fear of getting stuck at the falls or halfway there.

On this day we discovered Hades is scared of water. This is him looking at the people taking the dry path above us, he was jealous.

Poor baby had to be carried in the deeper area because he was scared.

Poor Archer decided he wanted to be carried through the deep portions as well.

Finally made it to the falls. It is deep enough to swim close to the actual waterfall if you would like to, it is extremely cold though.

There is a side trail we went up our first trip there that will take you all the way to the top of the waterfall.

The trail was super steep and narrow.

About Me

My husband and I are currently stationed in Okinawa Japan and love traveling and exploring new places. Pet parents to a fat cat named Felix and a crazy boxer named Hades. We're currently expecting our first daughter, Mia, who we can't wait to show the world to.

I love writing and taking way too many photos so I figured I would give this whole blog thing a shot. My goal is to back track everything we've done and seen here in Okinawa and our trip to Tokyo and then all our future trips as well. This is all new to me so bare with me while we get started with this whole experience.

I would love to pass on all of our information of places we've explored, restaurants and cafes we've eaten at, and events we've attended all in one easy to navigate place!
